NIDCD Tweets About Usher Syndrome
On March 25, the NIDCD partnered with the National Eye Institute (NEI) to host a Twitter chat to discuss Usher syndrome, a disorder that causes progressive loss of hearing and vision. Usher syndrome is the most common condition that affects both hearing and vision. The hour-long chat included information about current advances in understanding the causes, diagnosis, and treatment of Usher syndrome and featured NIDCD intramural researcher, Carmen Brewer, Ph.D., and NEI scientists Wadih Zein, M.D., and Benedetto Falsini, M.D. You can read an archive of the chat online.
