Training Webinars

NIDCD recognizes the importance of research training and career development opportunities to ensure a productive, creative, and innovative cadre of qualified scientists in basic, clinical, and translational research. We are continually adapting our research training and career development efforts to help new scientists establish careers in our mission areas, encourage clinicians to pursue opportunities in translational research, and build shared research resources.

Webinars are typically hosted by NIDCD Extramural Research Training Officers Jaclyn Schurman, Au.D., Ph.D., (fellowship program) and Alberto Rivera-Rentas, Ph.D. Join us to learn about extramural opportunities for the next generation of communication scientists. Training webinars cover opportunities for predoctoral and postdoctoral scientists, researchers from underrepresented backgrounds, and clinician-scientists, in addition to broader NIH-wide programs, such as the BRAIN Initiative and MOSAIC.

In each webinar, attendees will learn about the application and review process, gain insights for writing a successful application, and have the opportunity to ask questions. The series is open to the larger NIH community and the public. Learn more about funding opportunities for trainees by visiting our Types of Research Training and Career Development Funding Opportunities page.
