The Vestibular Disorders Association (VEDA) is a nonprofit organization that provides information, support, and advocacy to people with vestibular (inner ear and brain) balance disorders and the healthcare professionals who treat them. Frequently reported symptoms of these disorders include dizziness, unsteadiness or imbalance, vertigo, nausea, hearing loss, visual disturbances, tinnitus, and brain fog. Vestibular disorders are difficult to diagnose, and patients often see multiple specialists before receiving appropriate treatment. Because these disorders are invisible to others, patients are often accused of malingering; depression and social isolation can develop. VEDA's website includes a provider directory of vestibular specialists, support group directory, resource library, and other resources. Membership benefits include a quarterly newsletter and access to our member support network.
