Chief, The Integrative Neuroscience of Communication Unit
Dr. Biassou has been a board-certified radiologist at the NIH Clinical Center for the last 15 years. She holds a joint appointment as senior research physician in the Radiology and Imaging Sciences Department at the NIH Clinical Center and chief of The Integrative Neuroscience of Communication Research Unit at the NIDCD. She obtained her training in clinical general diagnostic radiology from Georgetown University Hospital with subspecialty fellowship training in diagnostic neuroradiology from the hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She holds a B.A. in English literature from Amherst College, an M.A. and Ph.D. in linguistics from the University of Pennsylvania, and an M.D. from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. The scope of her research is interdisciplinary by nature, spanning applied computational neuroscience. neuropsychology, applied linguistics. and biomedical imaging.
