Julie Christensen earned her M.S. in audiology from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Her audiology career includes a clinical fellowship at Mayo Clinic, Rochester. This was followed by 18 years at Boys Town National Research Hospital, where she worked as a clinical and research audiologist specializing in pediatric audiology, amplification for children and adults, and vestibular evaluation of all age groups. She joined the NIDCD as a research audiologist in 2018. Her principal interests are pediatric audiology and the effects of rare diseases on the auditory and vestibular systems.
