Two scientists supported by the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) have received the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE). The NIDCD-funded researchers, Matthew L. Bush, M.D., Ph.D., M.B.A., of the University of Kentucky Medical Center, and Anne E. Takesian, Ph.D., of Harvard Medical School, were among nearly 400 awardees. The PECASE is the highest honor bestowed by the U.S. government on outstanding early career scientists and engineers who show exceptional potential for leadership.
