The Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) is a nonprofit organization with a mission to open the world of communication to people with hearing loss through education, information, support and advocacy. HLAA provides assistance and resources for people with hearing loss and their families to learn how to adjust to living with hearing loss. HLAA is working to eradicate the stigma associated with hearing loss and raise public awareness about the need for prevention and the importance of regular hearing screenings throughout life. HLAA has an extensive network of chapters and state associations across the country. HLAA also holds annual conventions for people with hearing loss and professionals; see website for details.
