Description:

Apraxia Kids is the leading national nonprofit representing the needs of children with childhood apraxia of speech (CAS) and their families. The mission of Apraxia Kids is to strengthen the support systems in the lives of children with apraxia of speech by educating professionals and families; facilitating community engagement and outreach; and investing in the future through advocacy and research. Guided by a professional advisory council of experts in childhood apraxia of speech, Apraxia Kids offers information and resources based on the current prevailing professional literature and expert opinion. Apraxia Kids works to support both parents and speech-language professionals with a variety of online and in-person education and training opportunities including our Online Webinar Platform, searchable Speech-Language Pathologist Directory, multiple online support groups, an annual national conference, and the only CAS-specific intensive training for SLPs. The organization also provides small research grants every year to further knowledge and expertise about causes and appropriate treatments. At Apraxia Kids, we believe every child deserves a voice.
